FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How often do I need to get my car serviced to maintain the extended warranty?

To maintain your warranty, you are required to service your vehicle at regular intervals. Vehicles that are 15 years old or more or that have travelled 200,000kms or more MUST be serviced every 6 months or 10,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first. Vehicles that are less than 15 years old or have travelled less than 200,000kms must be serviced in accordance with the Vehicle Manufacturer’s directions and recommendations. All services and maintenance must be carried out by a licensed mechanical workshop.

Please note, the cost of the service is your responsibility and not payable by the warranty. You must keep a record of your vehicle’s service history and the Service Invoice, which must show the date and odometer reading for each time your vehicle is serviced. These records will be required as proof of Vehicle Service if you claim under the warranty.

Whilst under the protection of this warranty, where can I have my vehicle serviced?

Most of our warranties allow you to service your vehicle or asset anywhere providing they are a licensed mechanic. There are some exceptions so please refer to your warranty terms and conditions.

What if I want my mechanic to service my vehicle / asset?

Provided your regular mechanic or service centre operates from a registered business and is registered for GST, then your regular mechanic may carry out all regular routine services without any risk to your warranty entitlement.

Some warranty companies impose onerous servicing intervals on owners. What are your servicing requirements?

The most you will need to service your vehicle is every 6 months or 10,000km.
